This website is operated by The Practiss and John Evans. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to The Practiss.

The Practiss offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

We use the WordPress platform for the design and execution of this website and it is hosted by Hostinger. Our mailing lists are managed using Mailchimp and direct emails use Google’s G Suite product or Apple Custom Email Domains. All payment processing is secure and encrypted via the third party website Stripe and The Practiss does not store or have access to any of your payment details. You are encouraged to familiarise yourself with the relevant policies of these providers. We reserve the right to make any changes to our providers as deemed required by The Practiss.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time without providing a reason for such refusal.

You understand that your content (not including credit card information) may be transferred unencrypted and involve (a) transmissions over various networks and (b) changes to conform and adapt to technical requirements of connecting networks or devices. Credit card information is always encrypted during transfer over networks.

You agree not to reproduce, duplicate, distribute, copy, sell, resell or exploit any portion of the website or learning materials provided as part of a course or event without express written permission of The Practiss. All such original materials are the copyright of The Practiss and John Evans.

The Practiss courses rely on a level of tolerance and understanding of others and their creative work and we ask that you are thoughtful and respectful of other writers and their creations. The Practiss reserves the right to refuse a place and to exclude from an event or class any person who behaves in an abusive or disruptive manner or engages in discriminatory conduct, such determination to be at the sole discretion of The Practiss. No refund will be given if exclusion is made for these reasons.

The Practiss cannot accept responsibility for any loss, damage or expense sustained by students as a result of an event or circumstance whether arising from natural cause, human agency, or beyond its control otherwise. Where The Practiss is unable to provide a course place to you for any reason, our liability is limited to return of the fees paid.

When booking an event or class, you will be added to our mailing list but can instantly unsubscribe at any time using the link on all our emails that are non-transactional. Additionally, you agree to the terms of our Privacy Policy which can be found here.
